  • The UK’s live music sector launched a sweeping industry campaign to deliver climate action, as it sets out its commitment to reach net zero emissions by the year 2030. All 13 association members of LIVE (of which AFEM is a founding member) have ratified the Beyond Zero Declaration, with the ultimate aim of reaching net zero emissions by 2030.
  • AFEM member Andi Durrant of This Is Distorted has launched The Dance Music Archive, a pandemic passion project, 18 months in the making. It aims to build the world's biggest archive of electronic music and culture.

  • AFEM Health Group Update: In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the AFEM Health Group is focused on supporting the mental, physical and emotional health of the electronic music community. AFEM Health Group Chairs - Tamsin Embleton, Tom Middleton and Christine Brown - have developed a series of tips, referencing the recently launched Guide to Anxiety Relief & Self Isolation by the MITC (Music Industry Therapists Collective).   • Funds raised will be administered by AFEM and distributed to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO looking after frontline health concerns, and the AFEM Members COVID-19 Hardship Fund, set up to help struggling member businesses retain lower earning workers who would otherwise be let go, and to direct funds to those in most in need of urgent financial help.
  • Beatport and AFEM launch COVID-19 Hardship Fund: Beginning today, Friday, March 27th at 8pm GMT / 1pm PST, Beatport - in partnership with Twitch - will broadcast a live 24-hour global DJ marathon called ReConnect - A Global Music Event, seeing 24 artists including Carl Cox, Bonobo, Nina Kraviz, Gorgon City, RÜFÜS DÜ SOL (DJ set), A-Trak, Nicole Moudaber, Chris Liebing and Nora En Pure perform from their homes or studios around the world. During the live stream viewers can make donations to benefit those most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
