• IMS annual report on the dance music industry shows worth of $6.9bn.

• The International Music Summit, currently being held in Ibiza, has published its annual report on the Electronic Music Industry.  (IMS - pdf) The worldwide industry is estimated to have grown 12% year-on-year to $6.9bn.
• Amsterdam club night Les Enfantes Terrible have launched their own label. (Fact)
• Kaskade and Los Angeles management company Little Empire Music announced they had obtained a minority ownership stake in Miami management firm Super Music Group. (Billboard)

• Spotify’s contract with Sony Music, signed in 2011, has been leaked. The agreement included a Most Favored Nation Clause and required Spotify to pay Sony up to $42.5m in advances over a maximum three year term. Sony was given $9m in ad space that it was entitled to resell for profit. $15m in discounted ads were also available for Sony to purchase. (Verge)
• All of Starbucks’ 150,000 US employees have received a complimentary Spotify Premium subscription to prepare for a planned autumn in-store music programme that will give customers access to exclusive playlists and the opportunity to play their own favourite tracks in-store. (RotD, Billboard)
• Giorgio Moroder is collaborating with Novation on a new limited edition synth called the MoroderNova. (xlr8r)
• Martin Garrix is the latest artist to have his own tracks taken down by SoundCloud after his collaboration with Usher disappeared for no reason. The track has now reappeared. (YourEDM)
• Madeon has criticised on Sony Music's decision to remove all its distributed content from SoundCloud, which will mean many artists seeing their hard-build presence on the platform slashed. (YourEDM)
• Calvin Harris took home the award for Best Electronic Artist at this year’s Billboard Awards, with DJ Snake and Lindsey Sterling also winning big. (Forbes)
