Comment
"This week's ENT comes from a duo raised in Wales. Siblings Tom and Ed Russell both had successful careers in electronic music before they began collaborating as Overmono. With Tom known for his hard-edge techno as Truss and Ed for his rave-instilled bass work as Tessela, 2021 was their breakout year, having won DJMag's for Best Live Act, an Essential Mix of the Year nomination, dropping a fabric presents album and releasing some impressive remixes. They really are a promising situation. This is Gunk, taken from their five track EP, Cash Romantic, forthcoming on XL Recordings."
This week's featured Essential New Tune was featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 32.22 here.
