"This week's ENT comes from the Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen who is hosting the 11th edition of the Pictures series on Diynamic. It's a brilliant six-track EP, with so many great tunes on it, but this is the standout for me. It's a close run thing I have to say, but this has been blowing up every time I played it, particularly at Radio 1's Big Weekend during my back-to-back with Franky Wah."

  • TikTok has launched #ElectronicMusic, the second in a series of evergreen Genre Hashtags to be placed centre stage on TikTok UK. (TikTok) 
  • One month ago, Spotify started allowing certain artists to plug NFTs on their profiles. Now, it is gauging fan responses to the pilot, including via paid interviews, and a wider rollout could be next. (DMN) 
  • During last week’s Investor Day CEO Daniel Ek announced that Spotify would be aggressively expanding its selection of audiobooks as its third vertical within its main app alongside music and podcast. (TechCrunch, Spotify) Spotify today has over 4m podcasts, up from 500,000 in 2019. The company said it’s on track to top 1bn users by 2030 with the long-term forecast to achieve $100bn in revenue over the next decade, a 40% gross margin and a 20% operating margin.
