Pete Tong's Essential New Tune
Running
Anyma & Meg Myers
300 Entertainment/Afterlife
out now
Comment
"This week's ENT belongs to ANYMA, which is the brainchild of Tale of Us's Matteo Milleri, and this track features on his new EP Running out now via 300 Entertainment and Afterlife. Now, this is a brand new version of the Kate Bush classic, which originally came out in 1985. It was Kate's first-ever 12-inch single and was her biggest hit she had in the 80s. It is right up there, and it's been covered a number of times over the years, Placebo did it in 2003, and Meg Myers did it a few years ago. Matteo has got hold of that vocal and reimagined it into his own record and teamed up with Meg to release it. We love it."
This week's featured Essential New Tune was featured in last week’s Friday show on BBC Radio 1. Listen again and forward to 30.00 here
