  • Deezer’s half-year financial results show a major decline everywhere but in its home territory of France. (DMN) Its ARPU rose by 14.9% mainly due to the improved geographical mix of its partnerships.

  • Moises.ai, a music AI company with B2B and musician-facing applications, announced the launch of two new features that allow artists, labels, and entertainment professionals to create and detect end-to-end AI-generated voice synthesis. (RotD) 
  • UK-based ticketing platform DICE laid off at least 30 members of staff across creative and marketing during a recent round of redundancies. (RA) 
  • Electronic music-oriented online music store Beatport is raisng its prices for the first time since its launch in 2005. (Beatport) In the UK, general catalogue will be £1.14, new releases £1.30, exclusives £1.86 and lossless fees 75p.

  • Monthly NFT sales fell for fifth consecutive month to $495m in July, down 23% from June. (TechCrunch) The figure was the lowest level since April 2021, before the boom begun. However, transaction levels have remained high.

  • Meta has announced a new tool that can generate high-quality, realistic audio from text prompts.
